Louise Pryor has had a varied career in and out of the actuarial world, along the way gaining a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, consulting on software risk, and leading the development of the Technical Actuarial Standards at the Financial Reporting Council. Over the last few years she has focused on climate change and sustainability.

She is a past Chair of the IFoA’s Resource and Environment Board (now the Sustainability Board), and has led and served on many working parties in that area. She was co-chair of the IFoA’s Climate-related risks taskforce and co-chair of a joint IFoA/IEMA working group that produced a User Guide to Climate Related Financial Disclosures.

Louise is a Fellow of the IFoA and of IEMA. She is currently Chair of the London Climate Change Partnership, a non-executive Director of the Ecology Building Society, and President-Elect of the IFoA.
